Mahhouk Group-History:

Our history reflects our vision: To engage in continual improvement and self-evaluation to ensure that we develop both professionally and technically.

Mahhouk Group’s main milestones are:

1977: Company establishment by Salah El-Din Mahhouk, and installing production lines for praying rugs and decorating carpets.

1984: Starting to produce jacquard and plain velvet.

1989: Increasing plain velvet production by installing new lines.

1990: Adding new lines for plain velvet stamp.

1991: Achieving a large production increase of jacquard velvet and praying rugs.

1992: Installing a new special line for jacquard velvet with satin background.

1993: Achieving a significant expansion in our business by starting to produce floor carpets with extensive varieties of colors and designs.

1994: We were honored to be the first company in Syria to utilize fully automated Jacquard production machinery.

1996: Installing complete automated lines for the production of transferred printing velvet, and upholstery fabrics.

1997: Applying technical improvement by adding new computer systems for complete in-house design.

1998: Expanding our work to include the dyeing process by adding a complete in-house yarn dye facilities. We also started to produce chenille yarn.

2000: Developing the production of upholstery fabrics.

2002: Establishing the BCF polypropylene yarn production mill.

2003: Studying the project of establishing the acrylic spinning mill.

2005: Launching the acrylic spinning mill.
